The series were started by the Wandsbecker Verlagsanstalt in 1892, but were never finished by this publisher , in the meantime Prof. Kast died and his co-publishers found a new editor in Klinkhardt in Leipzig, who finished this great and very scarce work on morbid anatomy. ( From the German preface). According to this preface there were only 250 subscribers on the series. This atlas of pathological anatomy is on : Organs of the circulatyion; Osseaous System, Mucles and Tendons. Nervous System. Skin. Intestinal Tract and Peritoneum. Liver, Pancreas, Spleen and Lymphatic Glands. Organs of Respiration. Urinary organs. Sexual organs. Organs of Special Sense. Probably the port. folio's are original. ( they are contemp.) but there is no text on the port. fol. Corners a bit bumped and the cloth slightly faded, but a very good and absolute complete set of a very scarce work on morbid anatomy.
